Just 34 pages but informative well illustrated with photographs and inspiring not only Professor Swee Tan's story what he has accomplished in his life and continues to pursue in terms of medical research to help children but also the author's Hana Olds started this book when she was 11 as part of a gifted and talented program and finished it at age 12 It's the kind of writing we would love our students to do Finding someone who is making a difference in the world and spreading their story NB All profits go to Professor Swee Tan's institute I think kids as young as Grade 3 and as old as Grade 8 will get something out of this For us the Malaysia connection is close not to mention the fact that Swee Tan worked in a bookshop in Singapore for a year while trying to save enough money for medical school in Australia
