    As with all of Anne Tyler's works character interaction is the most important aspect of the plot I thoroughly enjoyed the contrasting characters the sense of inevitability and the genuine compassion with which the author treats her subject The comic Tyler is back but in a mature way that appeals to those of us who have had enough slapstick and want true comic relief when the situations become too hard to handle I would r
